Imagine a world where patients hold the reins to their health journey empowered with the knowledge and tools to navigate longevity with confidence.
Envision, living, not just longer but healthier when your health goals are within reach.
These fundamental principles have led me to the founding of Next Level Health.
My vision and sole purpose of Next Level Health was to make a person’s health their number one priority not only for themselves but for their loved ones.
Our patients will be given the ability to achieve their health goals and to live life longer.
We believe each patient in our practice will obtain the full health knowledge they will need to empower their bodies, their minds, and their souls.
We have been trained on the front lines of healthcare.
We have an established community presence in Tennessee.
We have begun a revolution to take back your health, and our passion to change the lives of one patient at a time is unwavering.
Today, begins your journey!
Dr. James Lohse, a native of New York City, resides in Franklin, Tennessee with his family since 2007. He is married to Christina Lohse, MD who is a pediatrician, and they have three sons.

Dr. Jay Cleveland’s passion for longevity medicine stems from not only his personal health journey, but also from years of providing emergency care, as well as a general frustration with the limitations of the current healthcare system.
A graduate of The University of Kentucky College of Medicine he remained at UK for residency in Internal Medicine with an interest in cardiovascular disease, after which he completed a residency in Emergency Medicine. Following his final year as Chief Resident, he attained board certification and moved to Franklin, Tennessee with his family where he has been in private practice in emergency medicine for nearly 20 years. It was during this time on the front lines of healthcare that he made the decision to pivot from sickness to wellness medicine. Each day he was inundated with patients suffering heart attacks, strokes, complications from diabetes, hip fractures secondary to osteoporosis, and late stage cancer. One question persisted, “Why?”. Why did these have to occur? Couldn’t they be prevented? The answer is yes, many of these cases are preventable but you have to take the time to look. It was time to stop treating the illness and start treating the patient.
Doctors are trained to diagnose what is in front of them, but over time Dr. Cleveland realized it was necessary to step back and see the bigger picture to truly optimize someone’s health. It is this 360 degree approach to patient care that he brings to Next Level Health.
“My entire medical career has been been spent treating patients by essentially looking through a keyhole, seeing them only in parts, based on their disease. It is an amazing difference once you actually open the door and see them as whole. We have to put in the work now to maximize our health so we can enjoy our lives. The goal is not just living, but living well. I am excited to take this journey to better health and longevity with you.”
